Common support topics.

The beta may change between builds. Confirm that the installed build and the support instructions refer to the same app version.

Room scanning

Room scanning requires compatible Apple hardware and camera permission. Move carefully, maintain adequate light, and review the captured room before using it for planning.

Manual measurements

Measure each wall, opening, and relevant height carefully. Verify units and recheck critical dimensions before adding products.

Scan review

Compare the room representation with the actual space. Correct or document discrepancies before moving into layout decisions.

2D and 3D layouts

Confirm product dimensions and placement in the 2D view, then use the rotatable 3D view as another planning perspective rather than a construction-accurate visualization.

Clash analysis

Clash results are prompts for review, not guarantees. Inspect doors, openings, walls, circulation, product relationships, and real-world site conditions independently.

PDF reports

Review the project before export, generate the report, and use the Apple share sheet to save or send it. Verify the report contents before sharing or relying on them.

Troubleshooting

Before reporting an issue.

  • Confirm the newest intended TestFlight build is installed.
  • Record the app version, iOS version, and device model.
  • Close and reopen the app once.
  • Confirm camera permission when the issue involves room scanning.
  • Check available device storage when saving or exporting fails.
  • Repeat the steps and note the first point where the result differs from what you expected.
  • Do not delete the app while trying to recover locally stored beta projects.

Frequently asked

Support FAQ.

Can I use the app without room scanning?

The current app supports manual measurements. Availability may depend on the installed beta build and supported iOS version.

Where are my beta projects stored?

Based on the current beta configuration, project information is stored locally on the device. There is no Haus of Zimmerman cloud project account in the current beta.

Can support restore a deleted local project?

Support generally cannot restore a project that was stored only on the user's device and has been deleted. Apple backup or device restoration behavior is controlled by Apple and the user's settings.

Does a clear clash analysis mean the layout is safe to install?

No. Users must independently verify measurements, architecture, clearances, code requirements, product specifications, and actual site conditions before purchasing or installing.
